Irene Giacomelli's personal website
Hello! I'm an Italian researcher interested in cryptography and in its many intersections with other fields such machine-learning, blockchain technology and security.
Since mid July 2019, I live in Basel (Switzerland) from where I work for Protocol Labs as full-time researcher for the Filecoin project.
Before I lived and worked for 1 year in Turin (Italy) at the ISI Foundation. From there I collaborated with professor Dario Catalano (University of Catania, Italy) on a project about multi-party computation (MPC) and machine-learning. During my stay in Turin, I was also a research consultant for Telsy S.p.A.
From November 2016 to April 2018, I was in the USA as research assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. There I worked with professors David Page and Somesh Jha on few projects about privacy-preserving machine-learning.
