Irene Giacomelli's personal website

Hello! I'm an Italian researcher interested in cryptography and in its many intersections with other fields such machine-learning, blockchain technology and security. Since June 2019, I work at Protocol Labs as full-time researcher in Cryptonet lab.

Before I worked for a year at the ISI Foundation in Turin, from where I collaborated with professor Dario Catalano (University of Catania) on a project about multi-party computation and machine-learning. During my stay in Turin, I was also a research consultant for Telsy S.p.A. From November 2016 to April 2018, I was in the USA as research assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. There I worked with professors David Page and Somesh Jha on few projects about the security of model training and model evaluation in machine-learning.
